Pakistan Cricket Captain Murdered Coach

The shock of Bob Woolmer's murder - has been handled as carefully as possible by the news handlers.  But the shock of who actually murdered him will probably be even bigger and is yet to come.

Woolmer was about to resign.  He sent an email saying as much after Pakistan's shock defeat by Ireland an hour before he died.  He didn't know it, but by trying to get out, he was signing his own death warrant.  Resigning would have freed him to do what he had previously threatened to do, that is reveal what he knew about the fixing of cricket matches by betting syndicates.  This had to be stopped by those who wanted to keep their filthy habits under wraps.

The three Pakistan players who were reinterviewed by the Police included the Pakistan Captain.  He must be held primarily responsible for the defeat by Ireland.  Who knows what betting deal had been done by him to please the syndicates?  It is unlikely that he agreed to throw the game.  Maybe he agreed to run the game finer than was expected, imagining he could still win it, and Ireland grabbed their chance.  Whatever the deal was, there seems to be little doubt that Woolmer was murdered by his own team.

The only truth that comes out of this story as with so many others, is that dead men tell no tales.

Hey - I was worried about you. Glad you are back. I also think the "Team" murdered him

Back in the UK only today after 6 months away - not in Pakistan! Thanks for your concern, kinglear.

The 'not murdered' story was not too convincing. The deputy head of the police announced the change in the forensic conclusions. What hapened to the head of police? What happened to the forensic scientist who deicded it was murder? Silence and silence. Mmmmm.
